Our House

Here are a few pictures of the house building process. I do not have any pictures of the inside yet but I will try to take some this week.

Harris bike gang

Porter learned to ride with no training wheels over the winter. We took him to the school parking lot and let him loose. A couple months later Adlee decided it was time for her to get rid of the training wheels. She picked it up very quickly and looked so tiny riding around trying to keep up with Port.

Porter the hillbilly

Porter started losing his teeth at the ripe ole age of 5 1/2. He lost three in a very short time.

December = moving day, birthday & Christmas

We have had quite a month so far. We sold our house and had to move out by the 15th of December. We are unsure of where we are moving so we are renting from a friend until we make a decision. Right after we moved we celebrated Hudson's birthday. After that I was finally able to start thinking about Christmas and decided it was time to start Christmas shopping. I am always a last minute shopper but this year was my worst yet.

We decided to have our Christmas on Christmas Eve so that we would not have to wake the kids at 5 am in order for Joe to be there. We started with a scavenger hunt for the family gift. While Joe and ALL of the kids were napping (Christmas miracle??) I hid clues for them to find the gift. It was a fun activity and hopefully we can continue that tradition. Everything was pretty low key and even though everyone pretty much kept to the minimum for the kid's gifts they still got more then any kid would ever need. Porter was so funny because every single gift he received was the...greatest...gift...ever. I have never seen him so excited over shoes! Adlee surprised me by being a diva (why does that surprise me?) She needs to work on being grateful. Hudson got a ride on four wheeler as his first present and nothing else mattered all night or the next day but his smile never went away.

We are now waiting for Joe to get home so that we can head out to my aunt and uncles for Christmas dinner. Having Christmas with more family then my mom and Charlie is a pretty big deal for us!

I will leave you with a few pictures. This will have to do for our Christmas card this year because with everything else going on I never got around to sending any out.

The day before we moved out our computer hard drive crashed and so far we have not been able to recover it. Thank goodness I have some of our most important pictures/events recorded on this blog because I just might have lost all of them.

I told you they just woke up from a nap, right?

Our Christmas Eve picture
Christmas morning

We seriously took 30+ pictures and did not come out with one in which we are all looking at the camera. Here is the best of the worst.

On top of everything else going on we also have this.....I have spent the last 14 weeks feeling queasier then I did with all three pregnancies combined. This is the very last baby that we will be having. I am trying to enjoy the last time I will be doing this but it has been tough.

Merry Christmas and Happy 2012 to everyone!

You are my Sunshine!

Our baby turned two this week. We celebrated with a "You are my sunshine" party. My mom and grandma helped make the party a great one. Even though I am pretty positive that Hudson did not truly appreciate all of the details and our hard work. I think the cookies, cake toppers, and mobile turned out super cute.
I used this free printable http://kikicreates.blogspot.com/2011/07/you-are-my-sunshine-free-download.html
I love a party with a great non-commercial theme and if Hudson is anything like my others I wont get to pick his birthday theme next year. So here comes years of super heros, transformers, and disney characters gracing our birthday cakes for the next 10+ years.

Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch the weekend before Halloween. Hudson loved riding and sitting on the tractors. We all had a good time!

Kids in the pumpkin 2011

I look forward to torturing my children every year. Putting them into a pumpkin makes me smile. Every year they are hesitant to get into the pumpkin because it is gross, slimy, scary.....etc. We struggle, bicker, bribe until each one gets into the pumpkin.
