4th of July

The day we got home from camping Poor little Hudson ripped his fingernail off...like completely up and around the cuticle offfff. I would put pictures up of it but I can't even look at it let alone take a pictures of it. Anyways, on to the point of this post. On 4th of July we picked all the cherries from our tree. Last year it produced about 7 cherries and this year it was loaded. The kids and I went to a friends house. They played and we ate some good food. That night we went to Mom and Charlie's to do some fireworks.

Big Flat

We went on a 4 day camping trip a couple hours away from here last weekend. We camped right on the river and had a really good time.

Hudson's favorite thing to do was throw rocks into the river.
Cute little Adlee.

We went on a drive into the mountains each morning. We went exploring, hiking, had a snowball fight, found some grubs, and made flower crowns.
Joe is extremely passionate about butterflies. He even has his own butterfly net to catch and study them :)
The kids had a movie and popcorn night.

Hudson pointing to the direction he thinks we should go.

All the kids playing in the water
Adlee trying to ride Porter's bike.

Joe thinks he is the master marshmallow roaster and I gotta say this one does look pretty good.

Here is the play area we made by moving some trees and rocks so the kids could touch the water without me having a heart attack.
Hudson got tired of waiting so he tried to roast his own marshmallow on his bubble wand. He is so darn cute!
Porter's perfectly roasted marshmallow.

The end of our trip photo.

Fiddle Festival

We were looking for something to do on a Friday night when we realized it was the week of the Olde Time Fiddle Festival in Weiser. We decided we would go check it out and take the kids to the carnival. The carnival was tiny and really not very family friendly. They were blasting inappropriate music, the rides are so expensive, and carnies are just creepy. We walked around, ate some food, and went on a few rides. We did not even stay long enough to see any fiddlers.

Whiffle Ball

I signed Porter up for whiffle ball again this year even though last year he said he never wanted to play ever again. I did not sign Adlee up because I was just not sure if she would play. There were a couple younger sisters on the team and we had a small team so the coaches let the younger ones play if they wanted. It turns out that Adlee loves it and Porter still hates it. So, Porter was forced to finish the season, Adlee was sad that it ended and Hudson slept through most of the games.
