Hudson: almost 7 months

Oh my sweet baby! Look at the little guy. He is getting up on his hands and knees and rocking. I don't want him to crawl. I want him to be a baby forever.

Port's last game!

Port and I are both quite excited that whiffle (??whifle??wiffle??) ball is over. I think he was a bit young for it and does not have the desire to stand still or pay attention at this time of his life. Now, if they would do an organized league for playing tag he would be all over that. On the way home today Porter told me that whiffle ( I am going with that spelling) ball makes him sick and he never ever ever wants to play it another day. Lucky for him we are done, at least for this year.

On a good note his absolute favorite thing about whiffle ball is snack.

Camping

Joe had a long weekend last week so we took our circus on the road:) We spent two nights up at Ponderosa in McCall. The night before we got there it snowed, the day we arrived it hailed and stormed, the next day the kids were playing in the lake. Oh the joys of living in the high deserts of Idaho. We all had a good time. We ended up going mushroom picking (something I never thought I would ever do) and it was actually fun (as fun as can be hiking through mosquito infested forest with a knife crazed 3 1/2 year old, a dainty 2 year old, and a very smiley 6 month old). Joe's friend Travis and his family were camping there also and Travis was our mushroom guide. Anyways, we had a good time. It is quite nice having a camper of our own. I don't think we would have enjoyed it as much if the 5 of us were in a tent.

Little Miss turns 2!

We were planning on going camping for Ad's birthday. The terrible weather we have had put our county into a disaster area and flooded the campground we were going to camp at. So at the very last hour we decided to throw Adlee a party at home for her 2nd birthday. With Nanny, Poppy, Mom, Charlie and a few of our friends we celebrated the day away :)

I (aka Ms Suzie Homemaker...lol) made Adlee a birthday outfit. I am very pleased with the outcome and have to show off my handy work. You can kind of see from the above picture that it has a big 2 on the front and here is the back...

So it is not perfect but I think it is pretty cute.

The Hawks

Porter is just old enough to play wiffle ball this year. Imagine a group of 3 and 4 year old boys trying to play organized sports. It is quite funny and a little bit painful to watch. Porter favorite thing to do is balance his "mitten" on his head. He also does not see the point in running the bases when he can beat the other kids by cutting across the field. He has had two practices and has two games this week. Here are some pictures from his first practice. I am hoping to get some pictures of his game tomorrow.

Our New Toy

We just purchased a 2003 travel trailer off of craigslist and have been cleaning it and trying to figure it all out. The kids have their own bunk beds in it which was the big selling point for us. We are ready to go try this thing out and have some fun. Joe has 3 and 4 day weekends for all of June and July so hopefully we'll be doing some serious camping this summer.
